Harwood Uniforms began in 1952. It was a tailor business owned by Randolph Harwood. He specialized in designing and manufacturing men's suits and formal wear. The store was located in downtown Pontiac. He moved his operations in1955 to its current location on Huron at Telegraph on the border of Waterford and Pontiac. The building has gone through many changes but the Harwood service has not. His nephew Ron went to work for Harwood Uniforms around 1969. Ron and his son now operate the store. Harwood has been family owned and operated for three generations.
Randolph made sure that his customers left with a smile and a friend. He also created suits and uniforms that signified unity and authority. We believe in those same ideas. Harwood Uniforms will go above and beyond to satisfy customers.
